FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE GIRL: HAILEY BHATT

Hailey Bhatt is the Founder and Executive Director of Girlstawk, the newsletter that helps high school girls bond through their experiences, social, professional, and intellectual concerns, and interests. She designed the website, manages social media, writes articles, and oversees her editorial staff for Girls’ Literature, Girls’ World Issues, Girls’ Social Media, Girls’ Health, and Girls’ Lifestyle.

As an outgrowth of her work with Girlstawk, Hailey created the first 2023 Girls Empowerment Conference in New Jersey in May 2023 partnering with the Livingston Community Leo club—bringing together female professionals and luminaries from multiple fields to inspire the next generation.

A leader in several regional, national, and international organizations, Hailey was the Founder and President of the Livingston Community Leo Club, where she has designed and planned the Go Green Campaign and the Leo Club Holiday Card Drive, which donated 100 cards to Saint Barnabas Hospital. Hailey was selected as an Associate Ambassador and Scholar for the Harvard Undergraduate International Relations Scholars Program (HUIRSP) from 2021 to 2023.

Haileys passion for debate and public speaking has led her to win multiple championships for Public Forum debate, including the Cornell ILR International Debate Camp and LACAH Mock Trial International—where she served as the United States Representative through 2023.

A dedicated community organizer and advocate, Hailey interned for Sewa International, raising funds for children in India. She has also volunteered at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and is on the Executive Board for the International Youth Leaders Council (IYLC)where she raised more than 2k for the Oscar Foundation in India and served charitable organizations in Egypt, Nigeria, Hungary, and China. She researched with Lumiere Education about the feminist paradigm and she interned at The New Jersey representative, Mikie Sherill's office. She plans on continuing her studies in International business and affairs at Northeastern University.
